Pakistan's first "megawatt-level" solar photovoltaic power station since its founding
In 2015, the 1.25MW ground photovoltaic power station in Punjab Province, Pakistan was successfully connected to the grid. This power station is the first megawatt-level ground photovoltaic power station in Pakistan since its founding. The power station covers an area of 16,000 square meters. The abundant local sunlight enables the photovoltaic power station to generate 1,745,000 kWh of electricity per year, which can not only meet the daily electricity needs of residents in 110 local villages, but also meet some of the auxiliary power system needs. The clean electricity generated by the power station each year can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1,580 tons.
